A downloadable game

Fridge Organizing was my biggest project and the game from which I learned the most. The initial prototype for the game took 2 weeks to make with just 3 levels and the core mechanics present. The initial reviews for the game were very positive so me and my team added about 10 more levels after which the game blew up and was published by CrazyLabs.

The biggest challenge while working on this game was making the deadlines for the updates which really taught me a lot about time management and working under pressure. I also learned a lot about teamwork since I had to introduce my artists to github (and I am very grateful for their patience!) which we used to work in parallel and that was a big production speed boost.

The most interesting thing in this game for me was how a simple mechanic like filling the container with products, can be so fun. Also what was really interesting was the fact that my code and project had to be organized and tidy, just like the fridge. So the products in the containers are precisely distant to one another down to a decimal point, as well as the containers in the fridge are. I think this disciplined precision played a part in the games popularity.

I worked on this game for approximately 7 months and it still has a stable player base and it makes me happy that many people still enjoy it and find it relaxing!
